Proudly supporting Cruse Bereavement Care
Bereavement affects everyone differently – and we are all likely to be affected by it at some point in our lives. Grief can have a devastating effect on emotional, physical and mental health and is often misunderstood or brushed under the carpet.
Throughout 2020, the teams at Executor Solutions will be taking part in a range of events and activities to raise money for Cruse as they help thousands of people across the UK struggling to deal with the loss of someone close to them.
Cruse Bereavement Care was founded in 1959 in Richmond upon Thames and is the leading national charity for bereaved people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Their vision is that all bereaved people have somewhere to turn when someone dies. Their mission is to offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies and to enhance society’s care of bereaved people. Their values: To be Responsive, Compassionate, Respectful, Supportive and Innovative.
Cruse offers face-to-face, telephone, email and website support. They have a Freephone national helpline and local services, and a website, hopeagain.org.uk, specifically for children and young people.
Every year, their network of almost 5,000 volunteers provides face-to-face support to a staggering 35,000 people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland giving over 540,000 hours of their time. Their services are are confidential and free.
Cruse also provides training and consultancy for external organisations and for those who may encounter bereaved people in the course of their work – something the staff here will taking part in over the coming months.
