There’s been plenty in the media about the creation of a Northern Powerhouse for Britain, bringing together the political weight of some of the country’s key city regions.
Executor Solutions has recently been busy building a northern powerhouse of its own – expanding its operations north of Birmingham, including two key appointments in the Manchester area.
We’ve taken on Mike Upton as Business Development Manager and are pleased to announce that Simon Bennett has been promoted to Group Account Director.
Between them the two will continue to build relationships with solicitors in the north of England and North Wales, and assist them with their probate property sales from valuation through to legal completion.
Executor Solutions director Darren Leggett will continue to head up our client facing operations in the south.
Mike Upton has 30 years’ experience of financial and legal services, including personal injury and family law.
“In my view Executor Solutions is filling a real gap in the market and providing a service to solicitors for which there is a real need,” Mike says. “They’ve proved they have a model that works through sister company Moving Made Easy, which has been selling part exchange and assisted sale properties for housebuilders for five years. Now they are applying that successful model to selling probate property.”
Executor Solutions offers a one stop shop to probate solicitors, marketing properties with three agents instead of just one, working on a ‘no sale no fee’ basis and offering a raft of extra solutions designed to make life easier for solicitors so they can focus on fee-earning activities.
Simon Bennett, explains: “Executor Solutions can help with all probate property sales, but where we particularly come into our own is when solicitors are dealing with a property that is out of area and more difficult for them to oversee. We offer a full management service and can look after general maintenance of the property, make regular inspections, arrange for locks to be changed, sort insurance and arrange house clearance if required. Without our intervention this would represent extra hassle for the solicitor involved, or indeed their client, and potentially hamper their fee earning capability.
“We can help establish the true market value through the detail and thoroughness of our valuation appraisals, helping solicitors to speed up sales and maximise value, factors which may be particularly relevant when funds are going to a charity or where multiple beneficiaries are involved.”
